Help From Above!
Help From Above!
there once was a Man from Rangoon
who gorged 'till he he resembled a balloon
between bites he did spy
his personal trainer from the sky
with results- made the ladies swoon!

Ideas Above My Station
I
hate
laundry,
washing up,
ironing, dusting,
fixing stuff - and any
kind of household work.
The logical conclusion Is that
I must be descended from royalty

Look Above
Look above!
Way up in the sky!
I'm on the tallest building I could find
Where the birds don't fly
I have come up with a new scheme
Just listen before you sigh
Recently I have not had many comments from poems by I
I,m about to jump off this building, screaming
" I Can Fly"!
Half-way down I,ll open the parachute
which reads

A Cut Above
I'm taking a leaf out of Prince William's book
the next time that I have my hair trimmed
I might just take the plunge and copy his new look
since mine has irrevocably thinned.
One hundred and eighty the price I shall pay
once I have got that cash to hand
my barber says that he can do that price, say,
if he charges me two quid a strand.

Death From Above
Death from above 1953
My uncle
Was seaman
Died in Marseilles
A pig on a balcony
Fell on him.
Mother said
He died at sea
When a mine
Struck his ship.
A likely explanation
That served
His widow well
When telling her
husband was
a hero.

The Circular Tyrant Above My Bed
Worst verse
The Circular Tyrant Above My Bed
The circular tyrant above my bed,
Ticks from dawn till I wish I was dead.
The clock laughs like a joker on the wall,
I can’t get rid of this clumsy fellow at all.
Hammer of time, smashing my dreams flat,
Pressure cooker tick-tock, imagine that!
Effervescent minutes, transcendental shock,
Turn my pizza dreams to wall clock block.
Chili sauce thoughts drip down the wall,
Why did some genius invent this thing at all?
It runs like a marathon, no rest, no pause,
My sleep is murdered, give applause, applause!
