The Cross Over

My Dog

Today is the day!
I give my dog away!
I wonder if he's sick or if he's too lazy to play and do tricks.
I called the vet, “$80 I cannot pay.”

My dog, my favorite pet,
He does not want to chase the cat.
I understand that he does not like to get wet.
But, how come today, he doesn't want to play fetch.
I tell him to roll over.
That he doesn't even want to do :- (
When I call my dog Rover,
He gives me the puppy face too.
Maybe he's over fed.
All he does is lay there in bed.
He’s not even wagging his tail!

My dog, my favorite pet,
He didn’t walk with me to get the mail.

Should I call the Dog Catcher?
And ask why my dog is playing dead?

Half-A-Life

. Half-a-Life

Approaching the first sign of hell.
An instrument of the baby tell.
I receive the blood in a Limbo womb .
An embryo conceived from a cell.
A set life waiting to bloom.
9 months to be stuck inside of a shell.
The first pain of labor revels my doom.
I exit to another Half Life to roam and dwell.
I vanished all excitement in the waiting room.
Abused in my first moment, just to here me yell.
My lungs full of life entering my second tomb.
Yelling my guts to an evil smell.
The smell of entering the Gates of Hell.

If a Tortoise, If a Turtle

Dedicated to my favourite poet - Shelley

If a tortoise, if a turtle
You are never going to hurtle
Witness how your limbs are placed
Splayed east to west, all carapaced
what if some meat-eating moron,
Jonesing for a snack to gnaw on,
sees you sumo-stepping by
thinks "Hey look - a fresh meat pie"?
Running will beget disaster
You beat a hare so now you're faster?
You let your tasty bits protrude
and pretty soon they're getting chewed
No! Stop to suck your vitals in,
and hope he likes his toothy grin
Cause it's going to get busted
your gooey filling's well encrusted

Frowns

Must I be strong when you are weak? If I am not, does this justify your beatings? It would seem that the clouds would recede. A smile upon my face all would see. Volatile I deny. The antagonistic world is outside. In a world of iniquity, you are fighting self; therefore, no anti-emotions I let possess. I just have to take good care of self and I shall receive the victory. Note my mind is. Notice my body is not. Not you nor me can love any harder. No, I want space. Know I want you out of my face.

Just Mad

JUST MAD!

I AWOKE THIS MORNING, JUST MAD!
WENT TO MY APPOINTMENT, JUST MAD!
I HAD TO GET UP AT 6:30 AM TO CATCH THE BUS AT 7:30 AM TO GET 4 MILES AWAY BY 9:00 AM, JUST MAD!
SAT THERE FOR 2 HOURS THINKING WHY AM I HERE? JUST MAD!
FINALLY FINISHED, THAT 2 HOURS WENT SLOW, STILL MAD!
WENT TO THE BANK WITHDREW MY LAST $6.00, MAD AS HELL!
CAN’T TAKE A BREAK, STRAIGHT TO WORK, JUST MAD!
PEOPLE SEE, TRY AND CHEER ME UP, THEY SAY SMILE, CAN’T STAY MAD!
I CATCH A GLIMSE OF HER FROM THE CORNER OF MY EYE,
NO LONGER MAD!

Gina
always lights up a room
a smile as big as a lollipop
smells fresher then new cut hay
loving as a new puppy
works harder then a beaver
heart as big as the grand canyon
the specialists person in my life
cooks better then sara lee
fishs better then bill dance
more outdoors then davy crocket
sews better then a sewing machine
builds better then the amish
drives better then jeff gordon
glows brighter then the sun
thats why we love gina

Atmosphere,

A lonesome dove

feathered white.

The branch strong,

time light.

...no "wait".

A dream.

really blowing a sweet breeze.

...no "wait".

A heart beat sitting in a tree,

spirit like,

...no "wait".

A rhyme.

...of atomosphere.

Long Focus Lens

I knew, that if you knew that I was watching
Your thoughts of me would never be the same
The sexual approach as you hugs and
caresses her silicone enchancers
         So tightly,
You feast upon her, sweetness
That moaning sound, the bulging purple blood;
       Surges in your veins

You close your eyes, and you sigh “Oh my God”
words, I never heard like that before
You seem at ease with the whore

Asabi

My eyes are weak
But it wouldn’t close
Only when it beholds you
Oh! Of special birth “ASABI”
Are you heading to the stream?
If so I can help to lift the water pot
Upon your head

My eyes are weak
But it wouldn’t close
Only when it beholds you
Oh! Of special birth “ASABI”
Are you heading to the farm?
If so I can take the cutlass
And you take the hoe

My eyes are weak
But it wouldn’t close
Only when it beholds you
Oh! Of special birth “ASABI”
Are you heading to the market?
If so I can take the yam
And you take the bush meat

In Gradeschool I Couldnt Decide If I Was the Class Clown Or the Fat Kid

i'm dang wordy.
just a word-filled bird.
i'm up to my eyeballs in words.
adjectivy nouns verbing as if they were an age.. it's Disgusting.
see, i can use the excuse that i like to 'switch it up' or say i just hate redundancy, or i can propose that i require a particular prose to everything i write, and that it's just my style, as you can clearly see. i can shift the blame left and right to see there's really no denyin'- i'm dang wordy.

Men

Am a man of honour

And who asked you?

I thought you were interested in knowing

Why should I?

Look at me?

Have been looking at you

Do you know who I am?

No! Why should I?

Mmmmhhhh!

Do you know me?

No!

Then we neither know each other!!

Ain'T Dreamin' of a Daddy

I'd like to do so much
With you
But that's
A hell of a lot
To ask of
A drinking man
Father-Daughter Dance
Huntin?
I'm from the South
And I ain't ahamed
To say I ain't dreamin'
Of a Daddy
I got all I need
I got my Mommy
She's just as good
And better
She's a fighter
We can live
Without you

Dieting

What do I eat when I'm at the table.
I see lettuce, I see cheese and i see apples.
There are so many choices for me to make.
Its important for me to make the right one.
The best I can do is stop and think and realize that
I can only chew as much as my mouth can handle.
When it comes time to eat again, i will know that I
can have a little of each.
Why am I being so picky about how I see things.
I guess its time to drink some water.
Making the right choice requires time.
I know i'm missing something. Oh, its the exercise.
The most important one of all.
It only shows to see that thinking and smiling while I'm thinking is
nourishing and relaxing for me.

Frosty Facetiae

"you're extremely attractive" a moth said to a flame
"and if I fly closer, please tell me your name".
but the fire just flickered while the moth's passion grew
and blinded by love towards the flame the moth flew
till his port wing was smoking, his starboard burned bright
his moth body sizzeled and glowed in the night
till wingless he fell on the hot wax beneath.
love cast it's last shadow on a bug's body wreath.
as he flopped midst the ashes of past loves' labors lost
his synapses sparkled and a poem by frost
came quickly to mind, his last roll with the dice
was a prayer, "should I perish, think i'd prefer ice".

Eaves Droppings

Knocking and and bumpings
as I wonder I was wondering
wandering listening over hearing
behind closed doors listening
malice screams and jumping
some vulgar messages
the distant cry
HR call security runs by me
side those social murders screams
of content her supervisor was
verbally firing a coworker
much content my head drops
near the floor I'm caught
on my ear to the door
 that security first grabs me
and marches me to the elevator door--eavesdropping

Wild Colouring Of Rose
It creeps up on the wall
Intent on colonizing all

The intent being seen by all
Roses blooming love for all
Love like the creepers on all

Spell their intent clearly for all
Wild bushes but still they are
Thorns to the flesh oh.my wall

Tryst

Yes, my darling, she whispers real low,
tenderly egging him on in the shadow
as on her ample and generous breasts
the lusty man greedily sucks and feasts.

Behind the door everything I overhear,
the sounds that the lovers make there;
blinded by wild rage the idiot barges in
and in a tryst I catch and startle them…

my unfaithful wife and our day-old baby boy!

Mosquito Massacre - Shocking Report

  Well, fellow stinging malarial insects
They really chloroformed us this time
You got the latest stats, Buzzer?

Check, Bleeder: Read 'em and weep
  3,400,000 dead; 1 wounded

Just a minute, there, Buzzer. One wounded?
That's right, Bleeder. Critical condition too

What's this weirdo's diagnosis, if I may ask?
Check, Bleeder. Doc says he was OTAA on-arrival

  And just what is OTAA?
  Over-the-anthill-anyway, sir.

  Check, Buzzer... He gone!

Deathbed Confession

An old priest about to die
looked his confessor in the eye:
I never violated my celibacy
much less toyed with my chastity.
Pray on my behalf to the Lord
that he grant me this one reward,
that I, by special dispensation,
convert to the Prophet’s persuasion.
Surely my years without marriage
merit me some carnal knowledge
and has surely made me a martyr,
while abstinence made it much harder.
And as I’m neither lustful nor greedy,
one virgin will do, not seventy.*

*Muslims believe male martyrs are rewarded in heaven with 70 virgins.
