Just what can astrology gain us?
The confusion surely must pain us.
Just how are you behooved--
Not to mention improved--
By knowing the moon's in Ur-anus?

Neil Armstrong shot off to the moon
Strapped into a cosmic cocoon.
He came to renown
When one foot went down
Ahead of poor Buzz -what a boon!
But as they returned to home base,
Buzz had a big smile on his face.
For there on the sea
Of tranquility
He'd aced the first 'selfie' in space!

humor, moon,
When she said yes, he was "over the moon"
Though the orb was oddly missing that night
The couple should have seen this as a sign
That their marriage might not bring delight
At times, the man in the moon needs relief
He’s seen couples pledge ardor that’s sure to fade
But warnings the man is not free to give
So he takes vacations when he's dismayed
Once a month Earth’s moon takes another gig
Moonlighting in a far-off galaxy
The lunar eclipse only veils the truth
The man in the moon is an absentee

humorous,
There is a house in my backyard
they call the 'Crescent Moon'.
I visit more than I would like
but, then no one's immune.
I've passed many an hour there,
pants below my knees.
The place is open day and night.
You can come whenever you please.
Just go in and have a seat;
You're welcome one and all.
Take a load off your feet
when nature makes that call.
So, don't be afraid to make a move.
You can even bring a friend;
Just in case, there's a double seat
and you'll be happy in the end.

fun, funny, silly, word play,
When the sun's out, it's sunny
When my nose runs, it's runny
So, why is having fun not always so funny?
I'd pondered this question for many a moon
When the answer hit me like a typhoon ~
It's the fault of him who did not turn having a ball into balloons

humorous, imagination,
Aboard my hot air balloon
I rose above the crowds.
They receded far beneath me,
As I drifted through the clouds
Higher still, I went.
Up through the atmosphere,
Ascending through an azure sky,
The earth now disappeared.
I saw the sky was full of stars,
I gazed from my balloon.
Here I was, in outer space
And heading for the moon.
I peered through my telescope,
And focused it on Mars.
I'd briefly pay a visit,
Then head out to the stars.
I don't know when I'll return,
It probably won't be soon.
For I'm off to tour the universe,
In my hot air balloon.

happinesslight, light, moon,
As I sat in my living room
On my cozy big fluffy oarnge
sofa chair, sipping on a cup of
steaming chamomile tea, with
lemon, perched on a yellow porcelain
saucer, and while daydreaming out the
large bay window with chantilly lace
beige curtains... I viewed the funny face
full moon amongst a black curtain of night
time sky. Twinkles of light sparked my
thoughts to invite the light of the moon
inside my soul in order to transform my
spirite into nothing but kindness and compassion.
The moon accepted my invitation in exchange for
blessings and prayers.

8th grade, fantasy, funny, hyperbole, imagery, imagination, moon,
On a clear night, I stole the moon
and placed it in a gold locket.
Acting like a wealthy tycoon,
I tucked it into my pocket.
I tried to impress all the girls
with my pretty shiny object.
And yet, unlike a string of pearls
a magical moon was suspect.
It wasn't long before I knew
that it looked better in the sky.
And so, I put it back like new
nonetheless, it was worth a try.

Your beauty makes me want to sigh

I bet you can see mars
The full June moon makes me want to cry

childhood, children, funny, kid, moon, my child, parents,
I really want the moon, who smiles oh so bright,
to be a little different, if only for tonight.
Last night it was a circle, same as the night before,
its always been a circle, and that is such a bore.
So little star up in the sky, I wish I may and might,
make the moon a triangle, and make it pink, not white.

*Last night my 2 year old daughter saw the moon and said, "I really want the moon to be a triangle, but it keeps being a circle!"

animals, children, funny,
The moon has a face like the clock in the hall,
She shines on thieves in the garden wall,
On streets and fields and harbour quays,
And birds asleep in the forks of trees.
The squalling cat and the squeaking mouse,
The howling dog by the door of the house.
The bat that lies in bed at noon,
All love to be out by the light of the moon.
But all of the things that belong to the day
Cuddle to sleep to be out of her way,
And flowers and children close their eyes
Till up in the morning the sun shall arise.

Son said dad I want to see a baboon
But things got a bit gory
And there in all his glory
Was the baboon displaying a full moon..

humor, moon, space,
The moon, our constant companion
Our faithful satellite
Always up there somewhere
Every single night
A wondrous, mystical land
It controls the ocean tide
I would love to visit there someday
That would be one hell of a ride
When mankind paid a visit
They saw a barren land
But they never explored what lies within
That’s still something we don’t understand
I believe that someone could live there
Maybe we will find out soon
Perhaps a wise and ancient race
Or simply just the man in the moon
But for now we’ll have to take it as given
That the moon is deserted I fear
And rather like this poem I just wrote
With little or no atmosphere.

adventure, childhood, funny, life, love, mother, space,
There once was a boy we called chase-face
he dreamed of reaching outer space.
With this dream in his heart
our family will part
and this boy we never could replace.
We all dreaded that day late in June
when we knew he would fly to the moon.
So a party we had
even though we were sad
as the countdown was scheduled for noon.
Chase couldn't get rid of the grin
or the drool that was right on his chin.
He was laughing so loud
while we stood watching proud.
His journey would finally begin.
The trip was a total success.
Of course, we expected no less.
We've done all we can.
He now is a man
and all that he sees he will bless.

humorous,
When the glow of night is shining bright
and you just can't seem to douse the light
Blame it on the moon.
When you start to gaze and fall into a haze
and find yourself caught up in amaze
Blame it on the moon.
When that warm sensation goes across your chest
and your feeling kinda anxious and just can't rest
and you just don't know what's wrong you feel
the need to go on a quest
Blame it on the moon.
Feelings run rampant through morning, night and noon
so when you get those feelings just
Blame it on the moon.

culture, food, funny, nature, prayer, spiritual, word play,
No one likes dead lettuce
It must be crisp and cool
And dousing wounds with vinegar
Is certainly not cruel!
For Vegans can not see
Why lettuce choose to be
On a different frequency
Than Donald Trump might be
A salad will pass away
Shivering with cold today
Disgusted Vegans will say,
"I never heard lettuce pray"

Hanging full, she grew wider

The witch loved to fly on her broom.
It fit like a cozy old shoe.
Magic led her the way
As she flew in the day
And zoomed on her broom to the moon.
No electric transport for her.
Her broom hid her in a blur.
So fast did she fly
In the blink of an eye
All you heard was a magical whrrrr.
