Musical Tip

There was a barber shop quartet,
That went to the track to for a bet,
      Their singing exploded
   When their pockets got loaded,
From a topical tip called, " Minuet "

Musical Dilemma

An exuberant orchestra fellow,
Over exerted the stroke on his cello,
His bow flew like a spear
Zooming into a posh lady's ear,
The recital was stopped by her bellow.

An opera scout looking on,
Heard the posh lady's bellowing song,
He signed her up to appear
So the whole world could hear,
Now she sings for an operatic throng.

My Musical Tastes

My taste in music is not a single
But rather many that intermingle
A favorite tune can make me tingle
For I love to hear a familiar jingle

Romantic ballads cause me to swoon
Play an Irish tune, I'll dance like a loon
A bluegrass song ends way too soon
I could listen to Big Band and swing til noon

A Classical arrangement is, well, classy
The Spanish guitar sounds so snappy
And Rockabilly can be downright snazzy
Those jazz numbers are, you guessed it, jazzy

Just don't ask me too quick
For my favorite music to pick
Of one style, the other can't lick
So to a variety of tastes I will stick

A Musical Pointer

A musical pointer up in Grants Pass
just can’t get enough of bluegrass
To the banjos and strings
he prances and sings
but still misses the woodwinds and brass

Musical Snowball Fight

I sit and blunder -
Torn asunder -
Waiting for the blow.

Barely singing -
What I’m winging -
Lying in the snow.

Baffled by a ball of ice,
Gliding in a way precise,
I felt impending sacrifice,
Without a way to go.

A fall so graceful -
Almost tasteful -
With thoughtfulness to show.

Beaned in the head -
A frozen bed -
Hiding in the low.

Greeted by a snowy face,
Surprise is followed by disgrace,
Surrounded in my hiding place,
Nowhere to cast my throws.

Sounds delightful -
Ears so spiteful -
From my mouth did flow.

A path they found -
A song of sound -
How was I to know?

Musical Note

A harpist sent a note
That felt rather sharp.
It left me feeling flat
As a worn-out tune.

Out of rhythm and sync;
Too lento to make the play,
I lacked the harmony
To counterpoint her melody.

Cadenza like, my heart once surged;
Now it drums out a dirge.
The key to her heart
Lay with a noted composer.

This heartless rat made her a coda;
Turning her into a decomposer.

Musical Fruit

It is the seasonal time for gas.
It’s usually gentle on pass.
Favorite when weather gets cold.
Age old recipes prepared so bold.
Tis natural things, we all do.
Some may try, though there is a clue.
Cannot mistake the odor it shares.
Indeed it is made with natures cares.
Warms the body, soul so very well,
Though it has a historic story to tell,
Tis the season for many more things,
Truly it has a musical tone that rings.

Musical Challenge

A difficult musical challenge :
Play seven instruments in balance...
at once...play the enormous trombone,
piano, double neck guitar sole,
triangle, zampona, harp,
battery and on top sharp
sing a final yodel imbalance...!
