Two Riding On a Single

Two riding on a single
Man! How fast that bike will go
Down the hill around the curve
Blow wind blow

At the very bottom piled up
In a culvert drain
In great agony and pain
Totally distained

Crumpled metal, torn clothes
Bleeding and blood stains
Harsh words from parents
Tears as soap and water cleaned

All the cuts and bruises
And clothes that had to be changed
What an ending to Christmas
The joy of Santa's gift

Lying dented and scuffed bent
Beside the porch needing to be fixed

Riding Stable

The horse I rode in on was, "Nellie"
Renown for the size of her belly
Although hot to trot
She farted a lot
And shook like a bowl full of jelly!

Riding On a Llama

Once there was a farmer
Who rode to the pub on a llama
He said "In Peru
It's the thing to do
Isn't she a charmer?"

Red Riding Hood

She dallied by the garden gate
and wondered if she should
continue on her journey or
return to get her hood.

The excursion to grandma's house
without proper protection
could cause a potpourri of woes,
a cold or an infection.

Little did she know how much
her hood kept her defended,
without it she was at a loss,
her life could well be ended.

The big bad wolf came out in force
and caused a chain reaction,
But with the headgear now intact
she dodged the interaction!

Riding the Roost

Some call me prolific I call me obsessed Some say I'm a kook I say I'm blessed It's all that I think of Poems from the heart But silly damn nonsense Is still my main art Takes the same effort To make people laugh As it does to depress them To make you gasp So this here is me Just little old me A happy old duffer Filled with much glee So next time you're looking For a morning boost Check out this old Jester He'll be riding the roost © Jack Ellison 2013

Cart Riding At My House

Hello I am Dollar Store Diva
Saturday is my shopping day
I take my friend Steve-ah
We are heading your way

We used to get a cart full
But now there are only three
Used to be fourteen
Most have been borrowed by likes of me

I take them to my apartment
Just whizz them around the room
Want to cart ride at my house?
You’d better get there soon

I have heard a rumor
The police are on their way
I am tossing them out the window
Jail fines I cannot afford to pay.
