The Squirrel

~My Nutty Squirrel Poem~

Up in a tree, on a branch
Now you see me, now you don't!

Sneaky and fast, I'm adorable
Now, why would you hunt or shot me for fun?
Do you like, how fast I run?
I'm not just another chipmunk
Stuffing my face with nuts,
I'm classy and beautiful,
The best part of nature.....

Red pointed ears, I hear you drawing near.
Chuckle, chuckle, caffeine free
I saw you looking at my fine coat.
Fluffy and curious, touch me and I'm Calling PETA!
See YA--- Life Is Beautiful!!!
I'm stuffing these nuts back into my mouth
and Jumping onto another tree :) The End
........
Love The Squirrel from another World.
Love LINDA

A Squirrel At the Door

Come in my little furry friend
And meet me face to face.
Someone will open up the door
While I step back a pace.

I feel my mouth all watery:
My face a grimaced frown,
And wonder how you’ll taste my friend,
While you are going down?

“It’s never going to happen;
My person laughs at me.
You can run them round the yard,
Or chase them up a tree.”

But, biting them and hurting them?
Oh no -- it’s not to be!
A squirrel is God’s creature too:
And meant to scamper free.”

So now I watch through slider pane:
It’s all that I’m allowed.
But just one squirrel at my door
Is one more than a crowd!

Up the Tree Laughing At Me a Little Squirrel Eating His Nut

a squirrel climbs the tree
squeaks, squeals, chee chee squawks at me
has a nut in mouth

apparent he's not sharing
he's just chirping chattering
giving me the eye

chee chee chee chee chee
gnawing at the nut in mouth
this squirrel in a tree

chee chee laughs at me
while in his little paw paws
nibbles still on nut

Nutty Squirrel

He stops
   Then hops

	On sill
	   His thrill

To peek
   And seek

	Highjack
	   A snack

Eyes flare
   With glare

	Embrace
	   My face

To hand
   A grand

	Cool treat
	   To eat

Give bread
   Instead

        Not fit
           Drops it!

Seems mad
   So bad

        Bites thumb!
           I'm glum!

I sway
   Give way

        Throw nuts
           He gluts!

Spoiled brat!
   Now scat!

One Bad Squirrel

This squirrel is the best
Mess with him and you will rest

He has a bazooka and a gun
If you see him you will run

If your running and you fall
He will catch up, and help you will call

Squirrel In the House

A squirrel in a house he'd not been in before
Grabbed a mouthful of peanuts and ran for the door
He tripped on a mat
And then he fell flat
And his nuts rolled across the floor!

Crazy Squirrel

I saw this crazy squirrel a running,
he must have thought I was a nut.
When he tried to bite my leg,
I turned and kicked him in the butt.

Then I chased him through the yard,
he ran up this great big tree.
That crazy squirrel jumped on a branch,
and he threw a nut at me.

I looked around and found a rock,
and I threw it really hard.
It must have hit him on the head,
because he fell down to the yard.

So I picked him up and held him,
I said please don't be dead.
He came to and looked at me,
then he bit me on the head.

That's when he jumped down to the ground,
and he turned and laughed at me.
I yelled out your a crazy squirrel,
and he ran back up the tree.

Squirrel Time

What's the purpose of the tail
on the squirrel who's
practicing his Braille--
his body hidden by the tree
with only a tail visible
to me?

Sends he Morse code
with that appendage
to other varmints of his lineage,
that he's found a tree that's
rather fine, grace a' someone
who protects her Pine?

The Simple Life of a Squirrel

sitting here
on a park bench
in Washington Square Park
with the flowers out
in full bloom

watching the pretty young girls walking by
watching the gray squirrels running about
looking for nuts
they scurry about on the grassy lawns
sometimes running into each other

when finding something they believe special
they separate from the crowd
with their prize
and tuck it away
in a secret place

and then back to the hunt
only later to return to the prize
to claim it
not to flaunt it
but to consume it to survive

and then back to the hunt

Little Squirrel

"Little Squirrel"

I hear the chatter,
     I hear the whirl.

I hear the noise,
     of the intruding squirrel.

The damage isn't slight,
and I hope they don't bite.

Something must be done,
     or else they have won.

So what can I do,
     how can I win.

If I do nothing,
     they'll come back again.

I don't want to hurt them,
     don't want them to suffer.

I just don't want them,
     to come here for supper.

I could leave them a trail,
     of nuts to my neighbor.

But how do I know,
     they won't come back later.

I like squirrels until they come in,
so I'll keep on trying until I win.

Theres a Squirrel In the Vending Machine

There’s a squirrel in the vending machine, I’ll bet that he thinks he is very keen. He’s eating up all of the jelly beans! He’s the worst irritant that I have seen. He’s devoured all the animal crackers, pretzels and banana chips, that slacker; a thieving fur ball of a nut cracker, who has become a snack machine hacker. Such a formidable machine invader, an uninvited and loathsome raider. I wish I had baby alligator, to fix him good for stealing my ‘taters! But as I gaze upon his chomping snoot, my heart melts because he is very cute. I suppose my anger is really moot; perhaps he’d like a bite of Kiwi fruit.

Here Kitty Kitty Kitty Squirrel

I have a question a wondering thought imagine this and that... If a squirrel is a rodent? Why? Then why is it such a cute little critter; And when they procreate do they also have a litter; With a big fluffy tail looking like a skinny malnourished cat, ...that's just to silly; That a squirrel is just a pretty rat; There's one in my front yard he likes corn cobs I've named him Billy;

Tale of a Squirrel and Me

A squirrel jumped onto my windowsill
It was not afraid of me
I winked at it, proffered a cup
Mouthed, ‘Would you like some tea?’

It hopped on in and dipped its head
right into the scalding hot tea
And that was the first and last time
that varmint took an invite from me
