of brightness.

de-stress..
So I can undress
with finesse
to the colour
of Summer;
a mellow..
yellow.
Exposin'
my melatonin
to a fantasy
of vitamin 'D'
Would suit me..
down to a tee.
Out of school
by a pool.
Play hard
Discard.
Shirk
the work
Shed
the load..
Hit the road.
Park the bike.
Drop the mike.
Avoid the spike.
With nothing to prove.
Get into the groove
Slow
the pace
Leave
the race
and
face
the
grace.

My sunflower table was created by artisans
Perfect for Kansas, with piano keys and pops of color
Everything you set on it looks insanely pretty
It shines with a shimmer that rivals glass.
People comment when they see it, and I smile
Remembering that my husband and I were in a store
On Father’s Day and he kept saying.
“I’ll bet you like this, I bet you like this, I bet you like this.”
When I heard him say “I hope you don’t like this”
I turned and found my table. I don’t like it. I love it!
