Surfing Usa

Beach Boys sounds played as I walked through the door
Gran was smiling as she headed for shore
She shouted out in dismay
As the ironing board gave way
And ended up in a heap on the floor...

Surfing the Web

I, the technologically challenged one,
am surfing the web even as we speak.
I thought computers would be one and done,
but now I find that we must all speak Greek
and learn the ins and out within a week.

This is nothing new; it's gone on for years.
I learned the basic Word and Excel stuff
once upon a time, but none of it clears
a temp agency, it's just not enough.
So in the end I'm playing blind man's bluff.

Surfing On West Coast Is Best

Surfing on West Coast Is Best

He was such a shrimp
Known by others as a wimp
On things liked to skimp.

He had saved so much
With reality lost touch
Started dating Dutch.

Nothing was his treat
Money never did deplete
Saving seemed so sweet.

This want to suggest
West is where surfing's the best
First with toe should test.

It probably will be colder than
hell which really should be hot
So go ahead and give it a shot
Before in bed you just may rot.

Jim Horn
Dad of a West Coast Surfer.

PS. Need a subject for surfing
and even about serfs if they
want to. There once were serfs
serving time for surfing in the
wrong place. Wow. Wrote a poem
about that.

Surfing On the Internet

I TRIED TO REACH MY BABY AT HOME.
I TRIED TO CALL HER ON THE TELEPHONE
A BUSY SIGNAL IS THE ONLY THING I GET.
MY BABY IS SURFING ON THE INTERNET.

SHE SPENDS MORE TIME ON THE INTERNET
THAN SHE SPENDS TIME WITH ME.
SHE RATHER BE ON HER COMPUTER
THAN. WATCHING T.V.
SO I COME TO THIS CONCLUISON
ITS THE BEST IDEA YET.
I WENT AND GOT MY OWN COMPUTER
AND JOINED MY BABY ON THE INTERNET.

ANY THING YOU WANT AT ALL
YOU CAN GET.
JUST LET YOUR FINGERS TO THE SURFING
UP ON THE INTERNET
ONE THING IS FOR CERTAIN,
AND IT IS A SURE BET
YOU CAN ALWAYS FIND MY BABY AND ME.
SURFING ON THE INTERNET

A Surfing Dame

She stood on the ironing board frame
Where waves of clothes she’d tame
She surfed on thoughts high
Inside the barrel green room a dame
Landing on the blue waves she did fly!

Channel Surfing Hound

A discerningly keen basset hound

Watches TV when no one’s around
                                        He surfs the remote
                                        without taking a vote

until The Dog Planet can be found
