Walking Dead On Halloween

On Halloween night, the walking dead clones
Shuffle around with mumbled grunts and groans
But have no fear
When they come near
They would rather die, than turn off their phones!

Walking Dead

Numbness as I walk in halls
A heavy load in my hand I bear
Tome of the ancient past
Portrays a fog in my mind

Emptiness, void and vanity
As I look at zombies like me
Consumed by an epidemic...
Which left us cold-blooded

At the darkness of dusk
When the sun shines no more
I lie below the tombstone of my grave
Devoured by a sleepy hollow in my coffin

Vitality where are you?
Where are your streams of life?
I' am lost, Where am I?
Oh wait, that's right
I'm in college

Walking the Dog

From my window I see the dog walkers as they parade past
Leash in their left hand, poop bag held tightly in their right
All sizes, shapes and breeds, both owners and their dogs
Charges safely tethered on their leash, straining to be free
Anxious to check their pee-mail or send a message on its way
I see the walker poised, ready to scoop up each catch of the day
Quickly wrap it tightly and tuck the warm and squishy deposit
Firmly into their pocket before hurrying on their way

Walking Through the Sunset Boulevard

If I can pull the sunset back to its hidden closet

Usher the storm in its concealed abode

And blanket the silhouette of sunrise before the tilting

Shadow of that leaning mountain.

In silent prayer

I swear

That your love

Will remain

Soaking in the canvas

Of my mourning, gripping and grappling

But praying heart.

Walking In My Winter Underwear

a parody on song "Winter Wonderland"- inspired by my winter alone in an
unheated house.

"Come away, I am threadbare
Snow is falling....
Where there' be hair..

A cold-as_sed dam_ night
It's really a fright
Walkin' in my winter underwear..

Butt-cheeks gleaming
Through the holes, near the seaming
A nasty cold a_s,
My skin is blue cast
Walkin' in my winter underwear..

In the meadow we can make a snowman
And pretend that he's an EMS
He'll say- "sonny is that really you?"
Or did someone paint you a_s blue?

Later on, I'll perspire
When I light...
My a_s on fire....

It burns so that way
I'm happy so say
Walkin' in my winter underwear...."

As I Was Walking In the Snow

As I walked on the snow, fell on my knee
my dog Rusty lifted his leg to pee
on me, my wife wouldn't let go
she posted the video
on her Facebook page for all to see

As I Was Walking In the Snow

Bladder bursting, I walked in the snow,

but got startled as I stooped to go!

Something more than just pee

sure got scared out of me.

My intruder was a wide-eyed doe!

Walk softly Ode to my walking stick

Loyal companion carved from a sturdy oak.
This eternal gratitude will never be revoked.
You've been there for me more then
some human folk.
I think I may be in love with you and that is no joke.
Please stay by my side until the day I croak,
if perchance we come upon a very nasty bloke,
I will turn you upside down and give him a poke!

As Jack Was Walking In the Snow

As Jack Was Walking in The Snow Jack saw wife's nightgown on the home snowbank At first, his heart leaped frogged, and teeth croaked clank Why his little bare bo-peep Pulling his buff wool so deep Soon joy rose and love snowballed at her prank connie pachecho 2/20/18

Walking the Dog

I had a dog that did not bark,
one day I took it to the park.
It stopped beside the plants
and started eating ants;
a passer by said "nice aardvark".

As I Was Walking In the Snow

As I was walking in the snow
I met my friend of the Harrow
He struggled with the rat
That sat upon his hat
Tasting the toasted marshmallow

Why, Are You Walking Alone, Madam,

Why, are you walking alone, madam,
Although you are such sexy chick?
But, Eve replied:-please, piss off, Adam,
With all your tasteless stupid jinks!

An Elephant Walking In Wildflowers

I try to walk very gently through a field filled with wildflowers
Not crushing them under my feet takes a short walk many hours
On hot days I flap my ears over them to give out a slight breeze
If not for me they would dry up for this field doesn’t have trees

Lots of bees and butterflies continually dance around my head
Getting stung or one flying up my trunk is a thing I daily dread
I am blessed with having such freedom and plenty of space to roam
Concrete floors and iron bars is sadly what some elephants call home

Just Walking-

Walking my tiger home,
    I could not help but notice the stares;
as people, gasped, I said have no fears,
I leash him because he likes to roam.
Now can you keep to your own affairs,
because I am . . .
          walking my tiger home!

As I Was Walking In the Snow

On a dim day I was walking in snow From where the blizzard came I did not know Brought a girl in eastern dress She was draped in great distress When the wind blew away her kimono.

As I Was Walking In the Snow

As I Was Walking In the Snow

the snow, a fattening marshmallow
like Leaves of Grass lent to Longfellow
same dog eared look
of well read book
it must be old, it’s turning yellow

As I Was Walking In the Snow

Up ahead, a snowy trail
The lambs and goats do bellow
And though I have thirst
     My lips will stay pursed
Because that snow is yellow

Walking the Line

At first there wasn't anything
To come between your heart and mine
We had big smiles on our face
We were so happy all the time

But gradually our love would fade
We just did not see eye to eye
Partly because I'm Six Foot Eight
And you are just Four Foot Five

Though I'm not one to mope around
There's something I need off my chest
I'll not say my heart is broken
But it is badly squashed, I guess

When all of sudden you left me
For some young clown, is what they say
I knew that it must be the one
You met at our circus that day!

While I'm up there on my tight rope
Silhouetted against a sky blue
You will still be in my squashed heart
But I'll not be falling for you!

As I Was Walking In the Snow

As I was making my way through the snow
In hand a hot Starbucks Macchiato
T’was such a cold frosty day
Barely could babble Hey!
I've paid too much for this Gazpacho

Cat-Walking (Iii)

Revelation crept in slowly
Followed by agitation strongly
Adapted into confusion truly
But with no execution cheaply

Alhaja dusted the air loudly
An Alhaji committed on her lap touchery
With no sense of remorse mildly
For the Aboki confessed openly
The passengers court drilled him thoroughly
An attaché got attached to a lap proudly.

More dust were thrown up funnily
As I became an accused unknowingly
Minds became agitated seriously
As we all laugh over it unconsciously.

Sleep Walking

Somnambulism
Is kind of an art
Of walking through
A memory lane

In the middle of night
Waking up in sleep
Eyes shut stepping with so confidence
Walking in a memory lane

Conscious laid to rest
Yet steps so straight
To the door comfortably made
If not an art, why so perfect

Only the gifted have tempted
It is no sport for everyone
So difficult for one to understand
So is the artist who even does it

Sometimes maybe nature
Just thinking it could be -
To control it I should learn
To fight when it becomes too dangerous

Walking the Aisles

Walking The Aisles
by
Robert E. Welch, Sr.
October 29, 2021

To go to the store is not fun anymore.
In fact, it’s more like a chore.
You wanted to shop, but kids make you stop
As they occupy all of the floor.

The kids today just won’t make way
To those who are old and gray.
They block the aisles; there are no smiles,
Just get out of my way!

No manners are there, kids just won’t share
As they walk the aisles as a pair.
But one day they’ll see, they’ll be old like me,
And proclaim “Hey, that’s not fair!”
