A Zulu Warrior
Do you sometimes see a Zulu Warrior
Staring back from the mirror in the morning!
A nasty fierce looking bad tempered dude
Obscenities flying out without warning
Crabbing bout having to make a living
But enjoying all the many accoutrements
If it wasn't that, it'd be something else
People just love to complain and vent
A shower and shave, you're almost human
Not one person will ever suspect
That a member of the Zulu Warriors tribe
Was a coworker of great respect
Do you sometimes see a Zulu Warrior
Staring back from the mirror in the morning!

Limerick crochetés: Once Warrior Fifteen from down under
Once Warrior Fifteen from down under
Trained so hard Hakka to outclap thunder
Scared s..t off rivals
To reach the Finals
At Twitch-in-Ham where Prince roared like Pauper
Anthems sweet lulled the cheery spectator
World hushed to watch Black Hakka Warrior
Earth shook hearts thumped shrieked gulls
Petrified spell-bound rivals
Warrior lungs burst Cup won by neither
Big-money football magnates cheered together
At last World will look up to footballer
American rivals
Or Pelé-fan Bra-zil’s
Hakka now sole weapon of US soldier

Weekend Warrior
It's late Friday afternoon,
Inside I cry 'hooray'
Nearly time to loose the shackles,
Let the devil out to play.
Soon the weekend warrior
Will appear and run amok,
Just another hour to go
As I look up at the clock.
My alter ego's twitching
For liberation's near,
Friday, welcome Friday
A day I hold so dear.
On Fridays I take off the suit
Be happy, go berserk,
For there is a side to me,
That no-one sees at work.

My Warrior
You and I were like a fairy tale to good to be true.
You rode in like a warrior and carried me away.
Showing me another world existed beyond the one I new.
Then you fell off your horse and I laughed

Wigley Warrior
Alas, torn guidon’s emblem boldy held
as leaders scattered nigh amid the fray
alone amid despair all doubts he quelled
to face the looming windmills of the day.
T’was he – champion of the colors of Celeste
alone beneath the challenged castle keep
sworn only to pursue his holy quest
raise his sword in vic’try and then sleep.
Alas, the eyes that peer from tower’s perch
survey the scene of chaos with still calm
soft purr, the ancient chant of fallen church,
protects the warrior from unseen harm.
Thus rose The Valiant Vic to Celeste’s cause
borne through the tortured day by kneading paws.

Fists raised in anger.
Protest against inequality,
inequity, all biases,
poverty and hunger.
Wet and cold forecast.
March cancelled.
Pumpkin spice latte please.

The 'Not-So-Happy Warrior'
A Senator named Hubert H. Humphrey
With Muriel got cozy and comfy
But she was no vixen
And he lost to Nixon!
Humphrey made Minnesotans quite grumphy
