The Squirrel

~My Nutty Squirrel Poem~

Up in a tree, on a branch
Now you see me, now you don't!

Sneaky and fast, I'm adorable
Now, why would you hunt or shot me for fun?
Do you like, how fast I run?
I'm not just another chipmunk
Stuffing my face with nuts,
I'm classy and beautiful,
The best part of nature.....

Red pointed ears, I hear you drawing near.
Chuckle, chuckle, caffeine free
I saw you looking at my fine coat.
Fluffy and curious, touch me and I'm Calling PETA!
See YA--- Life Is Beautiful!!!
I'm stuffing these nuts back into my mouth
and Jumping onto another tree :) The End
........
Love The Squirrel from another World.
Love LINDA

You Are Beautiful

I don't care if you are inaccurate.
I don't care if you're a tomboy.
I don't care if you're an oval or a circle.
I don't care where you come from or what you were.
I don't even care if you have a coconut cream pie-in-the-face.
You are good.
You are perfect.
You are a princess.
And I will always love you.
Like you should love yourself.

Something Beautiful and Strange

'neath my family tree I found
something green and blue and brown
hatching out beneath my touch
that I love so very much
can you take it home tonight?
feed it soup and hold it tight?
I can't have it ,Heaven knows,
it wants to wear my sister's clothes
and dance around in town all day
and make confections out of clay
put it in a sachel bag
make it march and wave a flag
until it learns it must conform
it's just too different from the norm
and when you make it tow the line,
I'll take it home and make it mine.

Loving Little Beautiful Bunny

"Easter is on the way. Cute and soft bunnies are what little kids are dreaming about." Quote By Poet
My best friend is my honey bunny, oh how we love to eat a pot of honey. On a bright day that is sunny, we will laugh until we have a full tummy. You are so fun and cute, even when we eat our fresh fruit. For Easter I will dress you in a suit, then to church we will be en route.

Critterature: Big and Beautiful

…or Hey! Who you callin' fat?

There is no subterfuge
In the hippopotamus,
She's just naturally huge
From top to bottomus*.
She loves the rivers more than lands,
On stubby little legs she stands
And grazes 'cause she has no hands.
For losing pounds she has no plans,
Such as Jenny Craig or rubber bands.
Obesity for her's no plight,
To be big and beautiful is her right,
So about her weight, she's not uptight,
Nor loses any sleep at night.
Some say she's rude and impolite,
But she just takes another bite
And says, "So whattamus!"

*My thanks to the Cowardly Lion from "The Wizard of Oz".

Who would have guessed/ the love carried for a beagle no less

Lily howling at the moon/ with ears long as her toes our ****

she gave birth to Bambi with no tail/ jack a be , 3 yrs later she is ours still

no describing the love for our girls / dressed in pink shirts and curly frills

the girls don't like when we leave home / they show us for leaving them alone

the pillows torn and howling non stop / we love our girly beagles until we drop

Guido's Humorous Laughter

How could a father tell his son
that seeing people boarding
trains and sleeping in bunker
beds was only a silly game?
I'm sure, he never meant to lie!

And that innocent child
went along having fun;
his dad told him to behave,
promising him a large tank.

Guido's humorous laughter
was the mask he wore
to shield him from terror.

Not thinking his dad would be shot,
he smiled when soldiers took him away.

The war ended, he got a ride in a tank!

You Are Beautiful

He claimed to be wise beyond measure, ancient and archaic.
Told me countless cliches like, "Life is what you make it!".
So I beat him senseless with his cane,
picking up his shattered remains,
and made from him the most beautiful mosaic.

The Receptionist

The receptionist smiled and captivated the room.
Her beauty and curves made the men swoon.
She was all business when she talked,
But they forgot about business when she walked…

Laugh Out Loud

I look in the mirror and what do I see
Cellulite and stretch marks
Body perfect, that is me

I turn to the left and then to the right
My butt is way too big
But my tummy gave me a fright

I laughed out loud and nearly choked
I looked like a naked camel
Who needed to be stroked

I see my beauty and yes my flaws
If there has to be gravity
There has to be certain laws

Laugh at yourself
Hug yourself tight
Love every inch of you
Laugh aloud-despite...

On a Planet In Far Outer Space

On a planet in far outer space,
You'll find a familiar face,
The folk there you see,
Well they all look like me,
It must be a beautiful place.

Nails

My nails grow longer in the heat,
I like to keep them short, hands and feet,
pedicure and manicure by the girls in Phuket,
they give you more, full service and yet . . . .

I don't need my shoulders or head massaged,
there's a slap on the back as their fingers emerged,
nothing too intimate otherwise I might get ********,
the personal service should be my selection.

Now there's a mask on my face, an extra they say,
don't worry, it's free, you won't have to pay,
I'm not too keen on cucumber, peer over the edge,
shouldn't be so fussy, after all it's a privilege.

I walk out of the shop, spent my last Thai coin,
can't help but notice - there's a swelling in my groin.

Gator Bait

Country living in New Hampshire was like heaven on earth.
It was Nature in her glory with the spring’s rebirth.
We owned a big pond and had the wildlife come around…
It was beautiful tranquility that left us spellbound.

It’s city living for me now in Georgia, and a whole other thing.
But Georgia has all kinds of creatures the country can bring.
I’ve gone out with a guy that owns a 15 acre pond,
With snakes and alligators too scary for this blonde.

He and his neighbors get alligators all the time,
And sometimes they kill them for dinnertime!
I don’t know if country life here would be that great,
If I wasn’t careful I would end up as gator bait!

My Only Good Poetry

While preparing 1001 soups
For the last night of this year
        I wrote a poem,
My only good poetry, ready to win the 1st Prize;
But I dropped it in…Soup.

Vaso Visits Ireland

Poetry is the fashion
The pope, the last bastion
Out with the old
In with the aborted

Crowds gather in anticipation
Poet Arthur recites To Patrick's Nation
England you see
Believes in the Orange and the free

They shout and they cheer
His fans are waiting for whiskey dear
Redheads filled with dragon tempers
A delight to Arthur's Kingdom of pleasure

Buried among the Scottish thistle
One day yee shall find the orange rose

		that tickles ones fancy

Big Bill

Big Bill is a ginormous man
Of gorgeous women he's truly a fan
He much prefers women of size
With bouncy butts, luscious thighs
They make Big Bill feel like a man

Bounceless women Big Bill finds too small
For him no itsy bitsy boobies at all
His big hands squeeze way too tight
The best parts don't fit quite right
So Big Bill celebrates big over small!

Big Bill prefers bouncy butts to itsy bitsy bounceless boobies.

Bride To Be

Oh sweet bride to be
as the flowers bloom
you snuck to my room
in hopes of a lustful spoon
Groom anxiously awaits
as your father opens the front gates
No one will comprehend our fate
Face to face we engage
Stockings, undergarments and satin lace
on the floor they lay
We embrace and grind away
