Missing You
She was wonderful and powerful
My object of desire
Her smooth clean face so beautiful
The apple of my eye
My love she had an accident
She fell from up on high
I found her broken body there
'Twas lying on the ground
Now all I have's her memory
The songs we used to share
Oh how I miss that ipod
My heart it megahertz

A Certain Cunning Ham Named Tom
There's a certain cunning ham named Tom
Who once crafted limericks with aplomb
Lately, no funny new lims
Has Tom's funny bone dimmed -- NO
His computer's been infected with ROM!

Part Time Poet
Once active, my muse has gone on strike
I said come back, she said go take a hike!
I tried dipping my pen in dark ink
hand on brow; I’ve attempted to think
I began writing a very sad sonnet -
ended up with a second rate nonet!
Next I thought I would write a fun verse
t’was not funny it sounded quite terse
Guess my muse has just drifted away
I think she’s gone on a long holiday!
Now abroad she is on a sojourn
and I wonder when she will return
Till then I’m a part time poet
I’m bereft and I really know it!

My Password
I think
My computer has dementia
It keep asking me for
my password
my password
my password
I keep telling it--
I think
it has forgotten it
My password

Damn Sheep
One sheep, two sheep,
Three sheep, four,
These sleepless nights,
Oh hell here's some more,
It's one in the morning,
I'm still counting sheep,
Hoping that the next one,
Puts me out so far deep,
For I am ready to be,
Where my eyes are shut,
So I can get to that moment,
And out of this rut,
By dreaming about good times,
When you are always around,
It's like your right here,
What is that sound,
Well hell it's my alarm,
Didn't even see what’s true,
Because those damn sheep stopped me,
From dreaming about you!!

No No
No pen for a pocket
No purpose with a pull
No left with a reason
No right with a rule
No lessons on Tuesday
No Wednesday at home
No makes for the model
No data on the phone
No recess like play tag
No fair with a wheel
No loving in a leaving
No steady for a deal
No next with rear view
No backseat like here
No address at Taylor rd.
No love seat like dear
No easy with an answer
No always with a true
No echoes at here that
No misses there but you

For Me
I hear the rain drops falling non stop but this time it didn't mask over my thoughts.
Rather broke all I had blocked,
I knew I had to get over such thoughts.
The thoughts about you.
The way your lips touched my skin, and how you pulled all within.
I want someone who is long gone, it was time that I moved on.
See, your name is stamped across my chest... No worries I'll ripe a whole new skin.
It's not your fault but I have to do this for myself.

No Help
No Help
Oh God, our help in ages past,
But not much help since then.
It’s ages since we heard you last;
When will you speak again?

Killing Time
Looking out my office window
The sun is shinning
The sky is blue
Forgive me if I daydream
A little over you
My work piles up
Time slips by
Nothing gets done
I've lost my drive
Why worry about tomorrow
When I have today
I'll let my future self
Regret this lazy day
The clock strikes five
I was ready at three
I'm out the door
Feeling free
I call your number
But you got overtime
So I sit home alone
Just killing time.

Missing You
Oh to have one's heart-string strummed by a
loving angel-like hand! Like lumps on a head
are those lumps on the heart, a read of life's
mixtures of orchids and desert sand. Oh to see
an angel-like smiling back...divine halogens on steroids!~
a lost vision to my ailing heart -- deeply regretting
our divorce...the absence of my home...with a pool...
a country-club setting, and that enviable Master's style
golf-course you so hated. Missing you.

Welcome Back Poetrysoup
Welcome back PoetrySoup!
What the heck happened
Will we ever know the scoop?
Did the Aliens get you or better yet
Homeland security put your servers on a jet.
Or you bet all your money on Facebook stock
and the sun-cream fiasco put you in a head-lock?
Wait! The server caught COVID - which must be a first -
And your back online because its over the worst?
What ever it was - I’m REALLY glad to see you -
‘Cause I’m a half-assed poet who REALLY needs you.
Welcome backkkkkkkkkkkkk!

Michael
Michael, why are you playing, so f-king hard to get?
I etched my number into your car, so you won't forget it.
I stalked you day and night just to prove my undying interest.
Did you get the shower pix of you, I intend to post on Pinterest?
I climbed in through your skylight twice, I bet you didn’t know.
I hid in your workplace mensroom, but alas you never showed.
Michael dear, I’m getting vexed, didn’t you see my million texts?
I know that you’ve been busy and that relationships aren’t always easy.
Michael, don’t be capricious, satisfy my sordid misses.
You simply have to wave to me - I’m out here in the bushes.
