Under The Influence

Honey,
why do alcohol-baptized Christians
develop addictions to oil-and-gas extractive economics?

I don't know, dear.
Perhaps the same reason that THC agnostics
sprout SierraClub cooperative political memberships?

The Thinking Gnat

A gnat is annoying my nose today.
She keeps coming back and landing on me.
She is fast.
Faster than my grabbing hand.
I am eating an apple.
Land on that!
I wait.
She does not respond.
A gnat with a mind of her own.
I may adopt her.
I can often use a good-thinking gnat.

In her honor, I have written the thinking gnat song.

Thinking gnat,
Thinking gnat,
You are smart.
You know where it’s at.

Thinking gnat,
Thinking gnat,
You are amazing.
Smarter than a bat.

Thinking gnat,
Thinking gnat,
You should run the country,
Just another fat cat.

Predicting Assault Patterns

I've noticed,
As our economic and politically empowered
too consistently lead with their Right,
All us non-elite women
people of color
LGBTQ
and indigenous people
predictably lean to our Left

To find a space
where we feel safer,
and a sacred place
where we might imagine
our lives actually matter.

Fascism's Uncertain Patriotic Ring

Fascism has grown cancerous maturity
to pathologically enforce
what mere nationalistic military-industrialized supremacy
would patriotically endorse.

Supremacists of race or gender
or metaphysical systems of personal as political investment,
mistake allegiance to icons and idols and pledges
of national privilege
for personal passion and investment in gratitudes of love
for EarthTribe's WinWin Lands with blessing waters,
Gaian Principles
of Organic Health Co-Governing Procedures.

Against fascist growing cancers
degeneratively erasing
what EarthTribe optimal regenerators
are more matriotically embracing.

Dear Donald, Again

I fear you cast yourself in lights too grand
and powerful.

Is it not enough
to acknowledge this legal investigation
of whether you have intended to use your limited powers
for obstructing justice,
fairness,
equity?

You go too far
casting yourself as a witch
hunted for misuse of powers
intended for promoting justice,
fairness,
ecological equity.

Donald Trump,
you are merely President
by minority vote;
you are no hunted witch.

Except, of course,
within your own alternatively factual universe.

Dumb and Dumber

HRC and DJT
Spells dumb and dumber to me
DJT and HRC
Which is which, that call ain't easy

HRC
is definitely dumb
Yeah, dumber than most anybody
DJT
is dumb too
Dumber than a Ladedade

A Ladedade
is a simple somebody
who always make you want to hurl
Who's the dumbest,
you make the call
Is it the boy or the girl

Persuasive Powers

I remain both surprised and alarmed
when revolutionary entrepreneurs,
AltRight survivalists,
poor and terrified AfricanAmerican and Hispanic young adult U.S. males,
     and females,
and the National Rifle Association
vociferously agree with Chairman Mao
"Power is found at the end of a gun."

While alarmed
because violence breeds further mindless violence,
I continue to be surprised
because even a child could notice
Power originates from Earth's revolving
and enlightening
relationship to the Sun.

All other points of origin
are secondary,
derivative,
and perhaps not to be made too anthro-centrically much of.

AntiClimate Cabinetry

Community organizers
and multiculturing regenerators
and organic whole food farmers
all agree
we tend to end up
back to where historically empowered nutritional voices
start.

Look at all these old white men
in their predominantly red meat patriarchal ties.

Is this a cabinet
made of polyculturing organic containers
for regenerate multicultural growth?

Or a funeral
for the not too soon departing
all WhiteHouse?

(but I have too much to declare)

Nelson's on his Column

There will always be an England:
roast beef and Yorkshire pud
assure the most fainthearted
that all is for the good.

Is anyone still doubtful?
This thought our hopes restore:
Marmite, baked beans and crumpets
provision us galore.

Coffee at eleven, at five o'clock high tea,
banishing the terrors that met us at the Somme,
kept us and Big Ben ticking
and will to Kingdom Come.

Nelsons' on his column.
Against Juncker's spiteful quips
no naval power can save us,
but we do have fish and chips

Politics of Mental Health

My cerebral palsied incontinent AfricanAmerican FetalAlcohol daughter
asked her teacher if she could be her Substitute
while said teacher will be absent next week.

I was asked for my opinion on the wisdom of accepting this offer:

Ivy will rule with Ugly StepMother tyranny.
She emulates President Trump's style of self v other empowerment.
With her we call it Oppositional Defiant Disorder.
With him we call it Executive Order.

But then,
I can look at the two of them side by side,
and see why that may be why things are as they are.

Inductive-Deductive EcoLogic

-0 + 1 = 1,
but positive or negative 1?
We do not have enough in/ex-formation to say,
perhaps somewhere in-between.

-0 + (+1) = +1
-0 + (-1) = -1

If +1.00%
measures universal solar bright light heat--diastatic
and -1.00% calculates rock-solid unitarian interdependent frozen fusion--entropic,

Then Mother Earth's Cooperative
Blue-Green Balance
appears to spiral ultra-violet in between.

Draining the Swamp

Dear Donalds and Fans Thereof

I suppose by now you have noticed
there is an unfortunate difference
between draining the swamp
and becoming the swamp.

Swamp life promises fast thrills
but delivers slow and sure decomposition,
decay,
dissonance,
despair,
loneliness at the sadly shared bottom
of the top.

But, the swamp is also rich with creolization opportunities,
polycultural seductions and fertility,
cooperative marshes
trying to breathe
underneath our oil slick
toxic ego-incorporated politics.

To drain the swamp
we must first notice
we have become swamped.

To drain the Trumps
we must first notice
we have become trumped.

When Pigs Can't Fly

If love is healthy
and health is love,
whether a screaming rabid eagle
or a peaceful mother dove,
then it matters,
whether you are a pitbull
or a kinda bitchy beagle,

When someone nominates for CEO
a person who flat out tells you
I am a pig,
and not only that,
I could fly like an eagle
if not for all you lumpen doves,

Run,
don't walk,
fly, if you can,
in most any other direction.

To do otherwise
is like saying healthy Earth
could be more lovely
if flying pigs
were plutocratic CEOs.

Quality Persons

"My son is a high quality person..."
     POTUS

A striking presidential sentiment.
Like defending an expensive choice cut
of red meat.

This view of healthy humanity
as a valuable commodity
reminds me
of his plan for health insurance divestment:

A very, very good plan for all Americans
[who are fortunate enough to be high quality persons,
transparently free of unfortunate pre-existing
Grade B
or C
or, god forbid, Grade D
or E
or Total Fail conditions.]

As We Grow

As I grow older
I grow colder
but also bolder
not due to insufficiency of too quickly passing time
but just the opposite,
a growing feeling that time invites our multiculturing sufficiency
necessary for suppressing younger monoculturing addictions.

Cooperatively Owned Management of Assets

Peaceful and equitable democratic government
does not treat residents, or even non-residents,
as potentially competitive property
to further grow the wealth
of those who already have too much
due to past histories of WinLose enslavement,
suboptimal addictions falling short
of WinWin's evolving cooperative co-ownership.

Rather, health-wealth optimizing governance
serves our most regeneratively polypathic nature-spirits
of co-arising nutrition nurturing properties.

We cooperatively own,
and too competitively lose,
and therefore need to more regeneratively WinWin manage
all our assets,
and those other organic mindbody parts too.

Absorbing Outcomes

Is Permaculturally Intelligent Design
for PolyPathic Outcomes
about anything more than noticing
and hunting and gathering
and then nutritionally decomposing
our optimal (0)-Core Abundance?

i suppose it depends
whether you are consuming a multigenerational creole stew
or producing a polyculturally sef-regenerating landscape.

What if I wanted to consume my stew
while co-mentoring our abundantly nutritious well-being landscape?

isn't that more of a healthy wealth climate opportunity?

Perhaps it depends
whether your LeftBrain deductively thinks in visual landscapes
and our RightBrain strains to cooperatively hear
and zing with robust spicy creole climate-healthy stews.

Powers to Pardon

Dear Donald,

Some of us are wondering
Do your infinite powers to pardon
whomsoever thou shalt so desire,
include yourself?

Are you not only infallible,
like the Pope,
but also unimpeachable,
like God?

Just wondering,
waiting for your further divine enlightenment.

With warm regard,

The Village WitchHunter

just a wiggly bit,
about poetrysoup
following a categorical ingredient menu

but not weaving and justice,

King Donald Twitter

I wonder if King Donald
is an unhappy reincarnation of King George,
and now is his time to take back the royal throne
to get even with the common people
and those who would be their eyes
and ears
and noses,
smelling something rotten.

PreTrumpian Pronouncements

I saw there was a mow-down in Las Vegas
of country western loves.
And also heard our President
was about to share his view.
But before he had his chance
to enlighten one and all,
I figured his best solution
was to hope before the next time
we'll all do our patriotic duty,
go out and buy the best automatic multi-repeating rifle
with scope that we can afford to buy,
so everyone can keep a well-scoped eye
on all the other country western wise
before we blast each other's patriotic duty
to stand and salute both our flags of equally good history,
leave no child with any color standing,
left unpatriotically behind.

Is It Just Me

Is it just me?

I assumed that Trump tweeting Obamagate
was solely to distract us,
and maybe Congress,
from the press feeding on Russiagate.

But,
by not making that assumption,
as just more Business As Unusual distraction,
the press appears to have been Trumped again.

I don't know...
Is it just me?

This Is Washington

"And this is good old Boston,
The home of the bean and the cod,
Where the Lowells talk to the Cabots
And the Cabots talk only to God."
          John Collins Bossidy, 1910

And this is good old Washington,
The home of capital defense and bold bald evils,
Where the Democrats lecture the Republicans
And the Republicans speak only against Devils.

Epic Paranoia

I wonder if this is an Elder RightBrain epidemic,
this confusion of NRA origins
as National Rifle Association
or National Republican Army;

A distinction of labels
perhaps without difference,

Sharing the same U.S. RedMeat population
of awesomely hungry pirates.

Liberal Love's Failure

One answer to Patrick Deneen's question,
Why Liberalism Failed,
not necessarily opposed to Deneen's own
more LeftBrain position,
yet considerably shorter,
is:

Profoundly democratic liberalism,
like Christianity,
has failed because it has not been multiculturally tried,
to paraphrase anti-colonizing
and non-violent communicating
Mahatma Gandhi.

Strangely,
this may also be a kind of corollary
to respond to a different title,
How the West was Won,
which would thereby postulate
How the West was Lost
by Win/Lose capitalist pretensions
to overpower Win/Win resilient integrity.
